Sales EUR 213.1 million, EBIT EUR 1.5 million, order backlog EUR 2.42 billion

Hamburg, 27 July 2010. According to initial calculations, REpower Systems Group (Prime Standard, WKN 617 703) generated a total performance of EUR 204.0 million in the first three months of fiscal year 2010/11, compared with a total performance of EUR 287.1 million in the same period of the previous year. Sales dropped year-on-year from EUR 300.7 million to EUR 213.1 million. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the period from April to June 2010 totaled EUR 1.5 million compared with EUR 10.7 million in the previous year.

As of 30 June 2010, the order backlog included purchase agreements having a potential sales volume of approx. EUR 2.42 billion (as of 30 June 2009: approx. EUR 1.45 billion). That means a considerable leap of 67%, whereas especially orders of large scale wind turbines (3 to 6 MW class) increased. The figures exclusively comprise the batches bindingly ordered within the scope of project agreements, as well as on-call orders arising from framework agreements.

Publication of the final results and the complete quarterly report is scheduled for August 13, 2010.
