Europe – Offshore Wind Farm Projects – 2nd edition June 2010 B0 size+ (1500 x 1200mm)

Printed Version: This map is published in association with the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA). The 2nd edition was launched at the Renewable UK offshore wind conference in Liverpool in June 2010. This map shows all areas in Europe where wind farming is proposed, planned under construction or in place. Offshore wind farm areas are colour coded to show the stage that area is at together with the developer, proposed MW and No. of turbines.

This includes areas in offshore rounds, areas under application, areas granted and fully consented areas. Wind farm symbols generally only occur on the map when an offshore wind farm is fully planned (consented), under construction or built. Offshore cable routes are also included. Insets appear for the less busy areas of the Mediterranean Sea, Northern Norway and Northern Gulf of Bothnia.

A large inset map covers the EWEA’s vision of the offshore grid to 2030 showing what is in place, planned and under study.
