The newest Vestas turbine will generate business case certainty and lower the cost of energy for our customers.

Today Vestas releases the V112-3.0 MW for sale.

V112-3.0 MW Offshore

This offshore turbine is based on the same superior technology as the onshore V112-3.0 MW turbine. Designed for reliability and robustness, the V112-3.0 MW offshore turbine delivers very competitive cost of energy. Its IEC 1B classification means that it’s ideal for offshore wind farms.

The turbine has high productivity due to its large swept area, higher rotor efficiency and better serviceability and reliability which improves the availability. Its reliability is assured through state-of-the-art testing at Vestas’ own test centres.

The V112-3.0 MW incorporates our new GridStreamer™ technology which provides excellent grid compliance for existing and future requirements, lower balance of plant costs and better system optimisation possibilities leading to higher production. Its lightweight design lowers foundation costs too, providing a better business case for our customers.

Designed with a focus on optimal serviceability, the turbines need to be serviced only once a year while also minimizing unscheduled downtime. Additionally, its modular design means easy access and fast component replacements. Together these features contribute to a high-performance turbine with the highest levels of lifetime performance.
