Winergy, the global leader for drive train technology in the wind industry, will showcase the newest member of its product range, the “HybridDrive”, at the Hannover Messe trade show (April 4-8, 2011) in hall 27, booth H23 . The very compact drive train concept combines the gearbox and generator in a single product.

30 years after the delivery of the first wind gearbox, Winergy welcomes the exhibition visitors in Hanover in a new design. Under the slogan “Reliability is our profession”, the new HybridDrive concept is introduced, which combines a two-stage gearbox with a permanent-magnet generator in one product.

In addition to the conventional drive train (including gearbox, coupling, generator and converter) and the Multi-Duored gearbox, the HybridDrive complements Winergy’s portfolio in order to serve all existing customer requirements.

Winergy’s long-lasting experience is incorporated into a product with compact design, great serviceability and best possible power efficiency for on- and offshore applications. This design allows for a significant reduction of the nacelle size and minimization of the overall weight. It can be easily fitted into any nacelle configuration. The product is easy to service and features a modular design, thanks to which an assembly/disassembly of single elements can be realised through the nacelle internal service crane for maintenance purposes. This represents an essential advantage compared to other existing integrated solutions, which require removal of the complete nacelle in service cases.

Winergy offers the HybridDrive optionally with journal bearings. The customer is fully flexible to employ either this alternative bearing solution or conventional bearings for the planetary bearings. Details on this bearing solution are presented at the Winergy booth.

The drive train exhibited in Hanover is completed by a modular Winergy converter. The product distinguishes itself through its small product dimensions and highest power density in the industry. The modular setup eases configuration within the nacelle or in the tower.

Winergy Service for the first time introduces the new service contracts in Hanover. These contracts help to make the operation of Winergy-equipped wind turbines even more transparent and calculable.

Furthermore, a new Winergy logo engraving on the original Winery spare parts is presented at the trade show. The engraving of the Winergy logo prevents the circulation of minor-quality spare parts under the wrong labelling.
