A&P Group are supporting a forthcoming event and presenting on “Making the most of the opportunity – turning MRE potential into commercial reality” to the expected audience of 100 invitees.

The Peninsula research Institute of Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMaRE) and the Falmouth Bay Test (FaB Test) partnership will be hosting a joint launch of the Dynamic Marine Component Test Facility (DMaC) and the demonstration offshore test site (FaBTest). The event will be held on Wednesday 1 June at the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth between the hours of 09.30-15.00.

Representatives from several local Cornish industries, academia and other stakeholders will be sharing their knowledge and insights into the latest developments concerning FaBTest and DMaC at the event consisting of two seminars with guest speakers and several small group visits to the DMaC.

Guest speaker at the event and A&P Group’s Port Operations Director, Mike Reynolds says “We have been looking forward to the FaBTest facility being established in Falmouth Bay. We know it is what our customers want if they are to develop their devices before going on to more ambitions deployments.

“The potential to support the deployment and servicing of these devices, and in the future their construction, is a key part to our strategy to grow our business in Cornwall, the site will play a significant role in helping us to realise this growth.”

FaBTest is a partnership project between A&P Group, FHC, Wave Hub, The University of Exeter, Cornwall Network and Mojo Maritime all of whom provide advice, expertise and support to the industry.
