Dong Energy Appoints New Head of Communications (Denmark)

Karsten Anker, age 41, has been employed as the new Head of Communications in DONG Energy. Until the Danish general election was called, Karsten Anker was employed as special advisor for Lykke Friis, Danish Minister for Climate and Energy, and he has previously been Head of Communications for the Danish Agriculture & Food Council at Axelborg.

”DONG Energy is a very exciting and modern company with a size and importance in the society, which naturally attracts a lot of attention. I look forward to becoming part of the team that handles the challenges and opportunities this gives,” says Karsten Anker.

Karsten Anker will become Head of Group Communication & Public Relations and will refer to Jakob Askou Bøss, Vice President , who says:

”We’re looking forward to welcoming Karsten Anker as new Head of Communications in DONG Energy. Karsten brings with him extensive experience within communication and energy, and he will take on an important task with strengthening and developing DONG Energy’s communication and profile in the future.”

Group Communication & Public Relations is responsible for DONG Energy’s media handling, internal communication, public relations and corporate responsibility. The department consists of 17 employees.

Karsten Anker will assume the position immediately. He will replace Louise Münter, who chose to seek new challenges outside DONG Energy.
