TAG Energy Solutions has appointed experienced industry professional John MacAskill as its new Business Development Director.
John joins the business from leading renewables consultancy GL Garrad Hassan, having successfully helped establish new business and transitioned an ailing enterprise in the renewables sector.
As UK Renewables Business Manager, John launched Germanischer Lloyd’s (GL) first renewables consultancy practice in the UK. He also spent significant time developing GL’s profile with UK Offshore developers in advance of Round 3.
Responsible for indentifying and engaging with key decision makers within the offshore wind developer community and utility companies, John will now help further strengthen TAG Energy Solutions’ position in the emerging UK and international renewables supply chain.
Overseeing TAG Energy Solutions’ corporate communications, John will also ensure the company maintains its growing profile within the industry.
In a relatively short period of time, TAG Energy Solutions has established itself as a key part of the supply chain for the UK, Europe and beyond.
TAG Energy Solutions recently opened its new £20million offshore wind turbine tubular foundation production facility on Teesside.
The 6,920 metre square facility features an innovative manufacturing system that rolls and welds large diameter tubulars used in the construction of offshore wind turbine jacket and monopile foundations. The company’s riverside facility also manufactures jackets, transition pieces and topside structures, which can be transported around the world from its extensive wet dock and 6,000te load out quay.
