Formerly at Citigroup, Fidel Andueza will be responsible for identifying and developing business and commercial opportunities and will sit on the Management Committee.
Fidel Andueza will join ACCIONA as Chief Global Business Development Officer as part of an effort to enhance the Group’s international strategy. The appointment will be effective as of January 1st 2012.
Mr. Andueza will head the Department responsible for driving international growth by identifying and developing business and commercial opportunities in the Group’s three main strategic areas: renewable energies, infrastructures and water. As Chief Global Business Development Officer he will report directly to the Chairman’s Office and will sit on the Company’s Management Committee.
Mr. Andueza brings to the position considerable international experience in investment, the industry in which he has developed his career. Until now he was a General Manager at Citigroup’s Banking division in New York heading the bank’s investment banking activities in Mexico and Brazil. Prior to that, between June 2008 and March 2010, he was a Partner of Citigroup’s infrastructures fund in New York following a period as the head of the bank’s M&A activities in Spain and Portugal.
Fidel Andueza’s appointment comes as part of ACCIONA’s commitment to increase its international footprints through the competitiveness of its offering and its capacity for the development and execution of renewables, infrastructures and water projects.
