Today sees the launch of a new website to support and promote the South Boats Service Centre at Venture Quays, Cowes. This state-of-the-art boat refit, boat repair and boat maintenance facility for vessels of up to 30m has 24-hour tidal access to the yard’s ship lift and a hall height in excess of 10m.
South Boats Service Centre can provide routine boat maintenance, servicing and repair with minimal notice.
The project management team has vast experience of building and refitting GRP, FRC, alloy and steel vessels from 10m to over 50m. Their unique time-served trade skills affords massive experience, quality and attention to detail.
Dedicated client support ensures all projects are delivered to agreed time scales and budgets. With over £5m of stock held on site, good availability of boat parts is assured whilst quick turnaround on nonstock items can also be achieved.
The South Boats Service Centre offers the following facilities:
– Hydraulic Lift which is mostly not tide dependant – capable of lifting up to 70 tonnes/10mtr width.
To be upgraded in 2012 to larger capacity
– Pontoon for works afloat/overnight berthing
– 44,000 square feet of external space
– Access to a wide range of skills from traditional carpentry to the latest technologically advanced nav aids

– All vessels considered
– Mains services across apron to facilitate all requirements
– Out of hours support available upon request
South Boats Service Centre can undertake any refit works required, with access to a vast skill base from both within the existing workforce and from regular sub-contract companies.
Prices will be agreed before commencement, with ongoing liaison at every stage.
Clients include existing new build customers, RNLI, Hampshire Constabulary Marine Unit and Southern Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority.
