PMSS, a global consulting firm working exclusively in the renewable energy sector announced that HSE professional Mark Rapson, has been named as Senior HSE Consultant for its German business unit – PMSS Deutsche Wind Consult GmbH.
Mr Rapson is an exceptionally experienced HSE professional having qualified and practiced HSE at a senior level in both German and UK markets. Mr Rapson has lived and worked in Germany for over 20 years and is business fluent in German and English. He comes to PMSS with a specific expert focus on safety and environmental management, legislative compliance and implementation of management systems.
Prior to joining PMSS, Mr Rapson was Central & Eastern European Safety Manager for Lloyds Register and previously HSE Manager at Bureau Veritas in Hamburg. Both positions required management of HSE compliance and technical due diligence on projects and to clients globally, with focus on the expert knowledge of health and safety legislation and interaction with authorities in both Germany and the UK.
Previous to these roles, Mr Rapson spent 28 years in military service, in the UK, Germany and throughout Europe. The latter part of his military career was spent in Germany as Garrison Lead HSE Advisor, advising on UK & German HSE legislation to the MOD and the Garrison Management Board.
Based from the company’s Hamburg office, Mr Rapson will take a key role in PMSS DWC’s HSE activity in Germany, both onshore and offshore including project, corporate and training based HSE services.
