Mojo Maritime has won the Tidal Energy Engineering Firm 2011 award for the second year in a row, reports Maritime journal.
Apart from this, the consortium, made up of Voith, Bauer, UoE & Mojo Maritime Ltd, has won the award for the Most Effective Tidal Energy Project 2011.
The project was for the monopile foundation structure intallation at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) for Voith Hydro.
Bauer and Mojo Maritime successfully combined drilling expertise with the offshore experience to install a novel 2 meter diameter monopile foundation structure in a tidal race.
For this purpose, Mojo has supported the design development of the Bauer BSD-3000 subsea drill.
