Guernsey’s Renewable Energy Team has announced a strategic plan for offshore wind, wave and tidal power in that area, reports IFC feed.
There is a great possibility for Guernsey to become the center of excellence for the research and educational aspects associated with renewable energy.
“Renewable Energy Team Strategy – 2012 and beyond” – is the name of a comprehensive document, whose task is to show the levels of renewable energy in future and its positive impacts in Guernsey.
RET’s CEO, Robert Sillars emphasizes importance of the document, because it could be the indicator of future investments in Guernsey’s renewable sector. He also thinks that it is important to have a clear strategy for development of the offshore wind and tidal power sector, just to be sure that Guernsey will take full advantage of the renewable energy sector.
