Pelamis Wave Power announces that the company has been shortlisted for an Innovator Award in this year’s Offshore Achievement Awards.
The Innovator Award is a new category for 2012 and recognises excellence in innovative technological solutions developed in the UK for the offshore energy sector. Pelamis Wave Power has been shortlisted for the Pelamis, an innovative machine used to generate electricity from offshore wave power, and is up against two other companies, Expro and Zenith.
The Offshore Achievement Awards have recently been re-launched by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and for the first time in 26 years are open to offshore renewable energy companies in addition to the oil & gas industry. Winners will be announced on Thursday 15 March in Aberdeen.
