Centrica, a British company engaged in sourcing, generating, processing, trading and storing energy, is going to organize public meetings in order to discuss future windfarm in the Irish Sea, reports BBC.

Centrica Plc was awarded the wind farm development rights for the Irish Sea zone in January 2010. The site lies outside Manx waters, about nine miles from Anglesey, and covers more than 1,000 square miles.

So far, it has not been clear how much the farm development would cost but the figures could reach billions of pounds.

The meetings are going to be held on 21, 22 and 23 February, and the main goal is to present what has already been done so as to answer possible questions and hear public opinion.

The first meeting is planned to be held in Ramsey Town Hall on 21 February, the second at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey on 22 February, and the final meeting on 23 February in Douglas at the Strand Shopping Centre.
