The Scotland’s Coastline saga continues. American tycoon Donald Trump accuses First Minister Alex Salmond of destroying the coastline with the offshore wind power plans.
As it is well known, Mr. Trump is going to give up his golf resort plans in case the new wind farm is approved.
On the other hand, the Scottish government finds a great potential in the proposed wind farm.
Donald Trump has written to Alex Salmond saying that he sees no benefit and that realization of the wind project is going to destroy the country’s economy.
He has also pointed out that everything he is saying and doing is for the benefit of Scotland.
Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, Niall Stuart , responded to Mr Trump’s comments by asking: “ Who is Donald Trump to tell Scotland what is good for our economy and our environment ?”
He also added: “ There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that these two developments cannot exist side by side .”
