The seminar “Power to the Winds of Change”, with keynote speakers Dr. Bertrand Piccard, Initiator and Chairman of Solar Impulse, Mr. Jaak Rutten, CEO of C-Power, Mr. Melchior Wathelet, Belgian Secretary of State for Environment and Mobility, and Serge de Gheldere, CEO of futureproofed and the Belgian Climate Ambassador, will offer a nuanced insight into the relevance of investing in renewable energy and how to do it.

The seminar will reveal how GeoSea and other key players in Belgian industry are turning these future challenges into opportunities with future-proof business concepts and innovations like the state-of-the-art Neptune vessel.

GeoSea is a specialised global contractor for complex offshore maritime projects. The company is part of the Belgian DEME group, a world leader in dredging, marine engineering and environmental operations.

The company has already cooperated in the installation of 15 European wind farms at sea, including the Alpha Ventus project in German waters and the Ormonde and Walney wind farms in the Irish Sea.

They also engages in more traditional activities such as soil investigation, drilling of large diameter monopiles for jetty construction and the like, and high-tech directional drilling.
