O’Malley’s bill to support the offshore wind energy development in Maryland is scheduled today for House lawmakers.

Governor introduced the bill last year which was killed by the lawmakers over concerns about costs. The current bill does not require mandatory contracts, as the one before, but it establishes requirements for the offshore wind power production.

The House Economic Matters committee today will hear O’Malley’s testimony on the legislation.
