Windreich AG still remains on its course for growth-which is also reflected by the company’s staff development. The workforce of the company has increased twofold in the last twelve months.

By late February 2012, Windreich AG employed 106 people in comparison to last year in which the workforce consisted of 53 employees. Hence their number has increased twofold within a period of just one year. ‘ This development underscores that Windreich AG is one of the best addresses in its line of business ,’ said Willi Balz, chairman of the board at Windreich AG in Wolfschlugen on March 5, 2012.

Balz continued: ‘ In the next months we are going to continue to recruit highly-qualified personnel so that we can resolutely continue our history of expansion. ‘ Particularly the corporate culture at Windreich AG is without comparison in its line of business: ‘ We are known as the movers and shakers in our trade. For example, no other developer was able to fulfill the power network criteria of the Federal Network Agency, with the very agreeable effect that all three of our approved wind parks, Global Tech I, MEG I, and Deutsche Bucht, were already granted network approval, a rarity nowadays .’

We are standing on solid ground and will continue to grow this year ,’ adds Deputy Chairman Dr. Walter Döring who is also responsible for human resources. The offshore business development has been very gratifying. In the current year, electricity from the 400MW-offshore wind park Global Tech I will be fed into the power grid for the first time. The offshore ranking of market research institute trend:research in November 2011 shows that Global Tech I is first place, while all three projects of Windreich AG rank among the top eight.

Recently, the renowned journal Project Finance International awarded the ‘Global Tech I’ project as ‘Wind Deal of the Year’. This distinction confirms the outstanding performance of the project partners who greatly contributed to the award which was presented in London (please see image attached). Approximately 1,200 new jobs have been created by this company alone with various other project sectors to add 1,000 additional jobs via the suppliers.

Three of Windreich AG’s offshore projects (Global Tech I, MEG I and Deutsche Bucht), with a total of more than 1,000 megawatts are already in construction and possess the essential grid connection approval by TenneT. ‘With each completed offshore wind park, sustainable and highly qualified jobs are created nationwide with suppliers, banks, law firms and other counselors ,’ according to Dr. Döring’s outline of the employment-political opportunities that accompany the extension of offshore wind power.
