France: Alstom Eyes One of European Wind Energy Giants

The French railway equipment and energy company is looking to acquire one of the European wind energy giants, reported Les Echos. The French railway equipment and energy company is looking to acquire one of the European wind energy giants, reported Les Echos. Alstom is eyeing German Repower, Gamesa from Spain, and Danish Vestas.

The company has already begun negotiations with Suzlon, REpower Indian owner.

Yesterday, the Financial Times Deutschland reported that the Suzlon is seeking a buyer for the € 1.5 billion worth German wind business.

Investors fear that Alstom might pay a too high price.
