Work on site is progressing well with major works on Blade Test 2 underway. The Nautilus building which will house a 3MW turbine drive train testing facility, is set to hand over in the Spring. Work has now begun on the latest Fujin project, housing the 15MW turbine drive train testing facility, which is set to complete early next year.

Blade Test 2

The roof of the building and the cladding works are now completely finished. The construction of the Hub is underway and is due to be completed in the coming weeks. In addition to this the block work to the office accommodation has been completed, with just the internal fit out left to be completed. The M&E works, dry lining and joinery fit outs are being worked on currently and the last concrete pour on the slab will be completed early March.

Nautilus

The roof works and the cladding on Nautilus are now fully completed, and the internal fit out is underway in preparation for handover in the Spring. M&E works, dry lining and the joinery fit out are underway and are expected to be completed in the coming days. Once the building has been handed over, the Narec team will start to commission their equipment.

Fujin

NAREC has now started on site on the Fujin project, which began with the demolition of the end part of Blade Test 1 and levelling the ground in preparation for the piling to commence on site. The piling has begun on site and is progressing well.
