In early March, Frans van der Stel of Emerson Industrial Automation was appointed as Vice President / General Manager of SSB Wind Systems. The company, based in Salt Mountain, is a world leader in advanced electrical pitch systems for wind turbines.
Frans van der Stel has appeared in various positions in fields of numerical controls for General Electric (GE), including serving as sales manager for GE in Germany. He was a vice president of the German division of Fanuc Europe SA from 1986 to 1987 and has been subsequently appointed to the General Manager of GE Fanuc Germany.
Van der Stel will replace the former vice president Dr. Gisbert Schulze who left the company this month of his own free will.
