TAG Energy Solutions has achieved a vital international certification, which will enable the company to supply the German offshore wind industry.
Following a successful audit, TAG Energy Solutions has been certified to DIN 18800-7 Offshore Standard, which is required by suppliers to developers of German offshore wind farms.
This accreditation verifies the suitability of primary steel structures and structural engineering, which includes TAG Energy Solutions’ range of offshore wind turbine solutions including monopiles.
Its multi-million pound, 6,920m2 production facility has the capability to deliver up to 100,000 te of steel monopiles per annum. Utilising an innovative manufacturing process, the facility’s fully-automated system rolls and welds large diameter tubulars used in the production of offshore structures.
The company’s riverside facility has also been developed to manufacture jackets, transition pieces and topside structures, which can be transported around the world from its extensive wet dock and 6,000te load out quay.
Following the award of the DIN 18800-7, TAG Energy Solutions has achieved a full suite of certifications from accreditation bodies required by its sector. Most recently, the company secured internationally-recognised welding certification, ISO 3834 Part 2.
