The Great Yarmouth-based offshore wind, farm support services company, Iceni Marine Services, signed a five-year contract worth nearly GBP 2 million, for its newly built vessel „Iceni Pride“ reported EDP 24.
The GBP 600,000 vessel will be used for the Greater Gabbard wind farm as a fast response craft with a 24/7 support.
Greater Gabbard is a 500 MW wind farm under construction on sandbanks, 23 kilometres (14 mi) off the coast of Suffolk in England, consisting of 140 Siemens 3.6MW wind turbines.
Pursuing their demand for fleet extention, over the next two years Iceni Marine is considering to build four new boats, worth GBP 7 million.
