Narec in collaboration with Semta, the Sector Skills Council for science, engineering and manufacturing technologies and the National Composites Network is hosting a breakfast briefing at Narec on Tuesday 29th May.

Narec has secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund for programmes which will provide training and business support to organisations, located in the North East of England and seeking to enter the offshore renewables industry. These provide opportunities for SMEs to gain technical knowledge and expertise to meet the requirements of the industry.

Semta is delivering three programmes to raise skill levels and business performance across the science, engineering and manufacturing technologies supply chain. The programmes aim to improve the productivity and competitiveness of SMEs, supporting employees to attain skills, improve training investment in their existing workforce and increase the number of apprenticeships and STEM graduate opportunities.

This event will address opportunities for up-skilling and training requirements for the offshore renewables sector as well as information on how to get involved in these programmes.
