The annual Arklow & District Chamber Gala Dinner was held on Friday 27th April, with special guest Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation Richard Bruton.
The Chamber celebrated 75 years in existence with a special “Then & Now” award to acknowledge some of the oldest and most successful companies in the town.
This prestigious award was won by Arklow Marine Services, a fifth generaton family business who have evolved from traditional boat building through to steel boat building with the latest material being aluminium used in the building of high speed vessels. The award was sponsored by Arklow Shipping Limited and Mr. Billy Tyrrell accepted the award on behalf of the company.
