As of 15 May, Martin Huss is employed as new Regional Manager and Managing Director of A2SEA GmbH. Martin will be operating from A2SEA’s Hamburg office, and work with all three A2SEA business units: Installation, Cabling, and Service and Logistics.

Lars Kiesewetter, who has been Regional Manager since 2007, will join A2SEA’s growing Ser-vice and Logistics business unit from 1 June 2012 as its Sales and Contract manager and will be based in Fredericia.

Holding a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Martin has worked within the wind energy sector for more than 17 years. His journey began at Vestas Wind Systems, where he held several in-ternational management positions. Between 2002 and 2007, he became part of the A2SEA suc-cess story, acting as the company’s CSO. In 2007, Martin joined SSE to take on responsibility for Offshore Wind activities, later moving to head up PMSS Deutsche Wind Consult GmbH.

After several years of consulting, Martin is keen to get back into negotiating with customers at a “big picture” level, helping put Offshore Wind deals together adding value for all partners in-volved. He is eager, too, to take on a central role in developing the designated region for A2SEA, which includes Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.

“Germany is a core market for A2SEA,” says Martin . “And the Netherlands and Belgium are se-riously expanding their renewable energy portfolio, too. With its rapid growth and diversification into service and cabling, A2SEA will be at the centre of the action – so it’s the ideal place for me to be.”
