UK: Ferguson Modular Boasts Renewables Success at All Energy Exhibition

Ferguson Group, a leading supplier of high quality DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 certified offshore containers, refrigerated containers, accommodation/workspace modules and the accommodation service vessel ASV Pioneer to the offshore energy sector, is exhibiting this week at All Energy.

Ferguson Modular, part of the Ferguson Group, has experienced a steady growth in providing accommodation and workspace modules to the renewables sector. Ferguson Modular has been supplying modules to the renewables energy sector for a number of years and has seen a steady growth exceeding 10% for the past four years.

Ferguson Modular, specialist providers of accommodation and workspace modules to the offshore energy industry around the world, has recently won a six-figure contract to supply a Belgium based offshore renewables project with an accommodation complex comprising of accommodation, galley, mess, recreation, gym and office modules.

To meet the growing demand for offshore accommodation and workspace modules Ferguson Modular will continue to expand its accommodation/ workspace fleet throughout 2012.

The Group’s accommodation service vessel, ASV Pioneer, has recently completed its first charter in the renewables sector, providing the client with a mix of accommodation, workspace modules and a large open-deck area to meet clients’ specific requirements ASV Pioneer offers a flexible accommodation solution for 220 POB. The A60 accommodation units are manufactured to DNV 2.7-1/EN 12079, providing workers with en-suite rooms complete with supporting modules including office, galley, mess and recreational facilities.

Gary Wilson, director of business development at Ferguson Modular said: “This has been a busy year so far for the Group. This recent contract win for Ferguson Modular is testament to the quality of the accommodation and workspace modules we supply.

“Exhibiting at All Energy is the perfect opportunity to meet with clients, suppliers and visitors to discuss how versatile our modules are for utilization on projects worldwide, in the offshore energy market. We will also be discussing ASV Pioneer, the first accommodation support vessel launched by the Ferguson Group – the team is extremely pleased with its performance during its first contract and it has proven the vessel is ideally suited to offshore renewables projects as well as offshore oil and gas work.”

The Ferguson Group is able to provide the renewables sector with high quality A60 DNV 2.7-1 offshore accommodation and workspace modules including accommodation complexes, recreation rooms, medic suites and gymnasiums to support the larger accommodation complexes along with offices, laboratories and test cabins. All modules are manufactured in-house at Ferguson Modular’s purpose built facility in Inverurie and can be standalone, linked or stacked to form a multipurpose complex in an offshore environment.

The Group’s main bases are located in Scotland, Norway, UAE, Singapore and Australia, supported by partners in America, Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific, providing a global fleet from a base local to its clients. With a reputation for quality, safety and customer care the Ferguson Group is setting the standard for offshore containers and accommodation modules.
