Blue Water Shipping has partnered with Michael F. Ewings Shipping in relation to port agency and marine-related activities in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

“With its new quay facilities, I have no doubt that Belfast Port will become an important location to the offshore wind industry in relation to future projects in e.g. the Irish Sea. This fact makes Belfast an extremely attractive location for Blue Water Shipping”, says Kurt Skov, founder and CEO of Blue Water Shipping.

“We have great experience from numerous, large, international projects, but it is difficult to provide first class service without local knowledge. This is why we have decided to enter into a joint venture with Michael F. Ewings Shipping, which has a strong setup in Belfast and a value focus required from an active agent and operator. In addition, Michael F. Ewing has valuable experience from the Robin Rich and Ormonde projects, making them anything from pioneers in the field. This fact has naturally had an impact on our decision to enter into a cooperation” , says Kurt Skov – seen here with Michael and Mark Ewings, Søren Stougaard and Jacob Kjærgaard, when the cooperation agreement was signed recently at Blue Water Shipping’s headquarters in Esbjerg.

Blue Water Shipping will be establishing an office in Belfast, bringing the company’s total number of offices up to a 54 in 26 countries.
