WindMade is announced the start of a new partnership with Renewable World, which has been chosen to be its official charity.

As the Renewable Energy industry grows in strength to a mature industry providing close to 15% of global energy worldwide, companies in the industry are seeking ways to demonstrate their contribution to consumers, business partners, policymakers and other stakeholders; in the present economic circumstances companies are also facing increasing calls to show how they will contribute to more equitable and sustainable growth. The work of both WindMade and Renewable World helps the industry respond to these expectations.

Neil Jeffery CEO of Renewable World stated “We are exceptionally pleased to be able to work alongside WindMade to promote their valuable work with the industry, and we see this as the beginning of an extremely rewarding relationship.”

“We are delighted with this new partnership, and will strive to work closely with Renewable World to support their valuable work in providing access to renewable energy in some of the world’s poorest countries, and thereby kick starting market activity,” said WindMade’s CEO Henrik Kuffner.

Renewable World has been active in delivering results to promote energy access for some of the poorest consumers in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The organization is now working successfully with over 50 leading members of the RE industry – many of whom are attending WINDPOWER 2012 in Atlanta this week – to channel resources, skills and expertise to promote the development of affordable reliable, clean, energy services for the poorest communities across the globe, where significant barriers to market prevent commercial players responding to consumer need.

Renewable World has grown significantly over the past year, working with thousands of beneficiaries in South Asia, Central America and East Africa whose lives have been transformed by the provision of affordable, reliable, renewable energy.

The partnership with Renewable World will complement WindMade’s efforts to drive corporate investment in renewable energy globally, and to educate both companies and consumers about the benefits of wind power.
