The Belgian company Sarens and Verbrugge Terminals from Flushing (Vlissingen) in the Netherlands announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership, resulting in a synergy of know-how and capability. Both partners have signed an exclusive agreement to work intensively together for all onshore logistics related to offshore wind farms.

Verbrugge Terminals is a leading logistics service provider with major presence in the port of Vlissingen. They are located in the economic center of North West Europe on the North Sea coast, right at the entrance of the Western Scheldt estuary. Due to this unique location, Verbrugge Terminals is an ideal basis for providing logistic services to large scale offshore projects in the North Sea.

Sarens is a recognized worldwide leader in heavy lifting and transport. With an almost unlimited quantity and variety of equipment and value engineering plus keen project management, Verbrugge and Sarens offer their customers creative solutions to today’s challenges in the ever growing Offshore Wind area.

Together, their focus is meeting the needs of customers in the most efficient way, with highly motivated and qualified operators, state of the art equipment, first class storage facilities and a safe working environment. The health and safety of their people as well as their visitors is their top priority.

They offer solutions for load-in, storage, preassembly and load-out of:

– Foundations: monopiles, jackets, tripods, prepiles, transition pieces, gravity based foundations

– Wind Turbine Generator parts: tower elements, nacelle, hub, blades

– Key support services, e.g. a wide range of steel works
