As a part of the consultation regarding the Atlantic Array Offshore Wind Farm, a series of seven public exhibitions were held in North Devon, which have raised interest and attracted 667 people, who wanted to learn more about the new plans for the project.

These exhibitions gave an opportunity for the developer, RWE npower renewables, to answer specific questions and discuss some concerning matters with the interested people, giving them detailed plans about the Atlantic Array.

Specifically, RWE npower renewables has presented the results of the environmental impact assessments for the proposed offshore wind farm and underlined the modified proposal, which has changed since the last year’s first round of public consultations, the North Devon Gazette writes.

“Feedback collected will be used to further shape our final application which will be submitted to the Infrastructure Planning Commission later this year, “ said Robert Thornhill , wind farm development manager at RWE npower renewables .

People who cannot attend the public exhibitions can access the plans online or at their local library, with a response deadline on August 31 at 5pm.
