Yellow transition pieces are being fitted on the Teesside Offshore Wind Farm foundations, Hartlepool mail news site reports.
Installation of the foundations was completed at the end of the June. The fitting of the transition pieces presents the first phase of activities which will be followed by installation of turbines and associated subsea cabling.
The wind farm is located 1.5 km offthe Port of Hartlepool, which is being used as a supply base for the project.
27 wind turbines with the capacity of 2.3MW will be installed, totaling to around 62MW, which will be enough to power 40,000 households.
