The kick off meeting of the Joint Industry Project (JIP) Wind Jack was held on 19 July. Deltares will carry out this project together with MARIN and with engineering offices, ship builders, ship owners and contractors from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Singapore.
Within the Wind Jack Joint Industry Project, the interaction between jack-up legs and the seabed will be studied. Deltares will contribute geotechnique and MARIN maritime technology. Deltares will set up a model to model the interaction between the jack-up leg and the seabed. This model will then be validated and improved through tests in the Geocentrifuge and numerical analysis.
