Offshore wind service and solutions company CWind has begun generator management work with Siemens at Lincs windfarm with a package containing a vessel, skilled personnel and offshore wind farm solution.

Generator management involves the deployment, installing, refuelling and servicing of the equipment as well as rigging and lifting operations to bring the equipment shoreside. CWind has proven expertise in this area having worked on 5 windfarms to date with 3 different generator types.

CWind has already worked with Siemens on many projects including generator management projects.

Peter Joergensen, the Siemens Site Manager at Lincs Windfarm commented, “CWind has a solid project track record with us and we are looking forward to working with them on this site. It’s about choosing partners to complete the jobs professionally and to a high quality and safe standard. CWind ticks the right boxes.”

Dave Quested, Operations Director at CWind explains, “We have a great bunch of technicians working on this team and they will be operating from a highly versatile CTruk 20T MPC workboat which is really ideal for this work, with a large and adaptable load carrying capacity as well as in-hull storage of 16,000 litres of fuel.”
