The progress of construction work on 108 MW Riffgat offshore wind farm is right on schedule.
The Riffgat offshore wind farm is located 15 kilometers from the island of Borkum and 25 kilometers from the Dutch island of Schiermonnikoog.
Before starting the installation, the developers had applied for scour protection, after which EWE and Enova started construction in May.
The first monopile was installed in June by “Oleg Strashnov,” a 183-foot crane ship.
This vessel will install a total of 30 monopiles, which are up to 70 meters long and have up to about 800 tons. The monopiles are to be driven 40 meters into the ground.
