Antwerp-based Scaldis Salvage and Marine Contractors ordered the Star fleet management system and related implementation services with Dutch company MirTac. Scaldis, well-known for amongst others the heavy-lifting/floating crane vessel Rambiz, chose MirTac after a thorough selection process with multiple suppliers.
Jules Schelkens, Superintendent, says: “We were looking for an easy-to-use but complete software solution to meet our requirements for Quality, Environment, Health, Maintenance, Document and Purchase Management. The Star solution combined with MirTac’s expertise excelled in transparency, user friendliness and an outstanding knowledge of our business. With MirTac we will improve our maintenance and purchase processes and continue to comply with both our own and customer Quality standards”.
