After being awarded funding by the Scottish Government, Nautricity will make the Mull of Kintyre the first test site for its innovative CoRMaT tidal current turbine (TCT).

The GBP 1.4 million of funding will be used towards the GBP 4.9 million cost of deploying its cutting-edge tidal power generation technology.

The testing phase can begin next summer and is expected to be completed by March 2014. The full scale commercial deployment is planned to begin soon after, according to the H&V News portal.
