INTPOW won the ONS 2012 Roger Vielvoye Memorial Award on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Managing Director Geir Elsebutangen accepted the award from Darius Snieckus, technology editor of Recharge.
“The Vielvoye committee was impressed by INTPOW’s spearheading this year of two high-level seminars: one looking at development of the offshore wind power sector based on technology transfer from Norway’s long-standing oil and gas industry – the other at the financing of future renewable energy projects,” said Snieckus .
First resented in 1994, the Roger Vielvoye memorial Award commemorates a leading energy sector journalist, and was instituted by his colleagues in the press.
