Following two months of round-the-clock operation and use, Seacat Endeavour and Seacat Reliance have clocked a combined total of 1,000 hours of uninterrupted service.

This remarkable total for two workboats that were only fully commissioned following the completion of sea trials earlier in the year has been achieved by working off the coast of Denmark on Anholt Offshore Wind farm.

Operating in an average water depth of 14 – 17 metres, this fantastic milestone is a testament to the quality of the equipment and the capability, commitment and high operating standards set by the company and crew.

The 111-turbine DONG Energy project, has been under construction throughout 2012, following the setting of the first set of foundations less than one year ago.

When complete, the offshore farm is set to generate over 400MW of power and will become the largest project of its kind in Denmark.

Both vessels are contracted to Nexans Deutschland GmbH, the industry leading cable manufacturer, who have supplied and are terminating the cabling on the project.

Thanks to the ongoing assistance and support of the Seacat Services vessels and their crew, the project remains on schedule and progressing very well. Currently cable jointers and fibre optics specialists are working out in the field and have been making full use of the versatile workboats.

Cargo capacity has been well utilised and, given the weather over the summer, the engineers have been particularly keen to take advantage of the peace and quiet of the wheelhouse while in transit.
