BZEE Academy offers on-and offshore training under one roof and from summer 2013 the entire BZEE training program of the Husum BZEE Academy will be available in Hamburg as well. At the same time the offer will be expanded in cooperation with new partners.

Namely, in the middle of the Elbe river arises the world’s largest wind power training centre for onshore as well as offshore sectors. The infrastructure of the new training centre provides a wide range of training in the areas of installation, service, maintenance and repair of wind turbines and their components together with a comprehensive range of services required in the future safety and emergency procedures.

The concept of the new training centre corresponds precisely to the current needs of the wind energy industry. With the offer, conducting on-and offshore training at the same time, the distinction between “on land and in water” training is hereby surpassed.

Having in mind that the companies wish to train their employees on one location, both external and internal training can be successfully conducted in Hamburg. Moreover, Hamburg is especially easy to reach for international partners.

Besides the well known, BZEE training module services provide the wind hub Hamburg a space for the development of new, customized training programs. It will include training islands, where innovative manufacturer-specific training solutions are developed and tested in real scale.

Wind hub Hamburg is realized jointly by the Husum BZEE Academy and the Competence Management Group, which has collected more than 20 years of experience in the offshore training with training centres in Amsterdam and Manila.

With the construction of the wind hub Hamburg within the training networks of the initiators a competent qualification network for the North and Baltic Sea regions is created, which can offer training locations in Amsterdam, Groningen, Emden, Husum, Egersund and Northumberland.

The Husum BZEE training site will focus more on the development and manufacture of equipment for training purposes in the future. The plan is also to arrange safety and rescue training for onshore and offshore operations under real conditions at Husum airport.
