Smart Wind has declared the winners of the competition to name the next individual wind farms in the Hornsea Round 3 Zone and offshore transmission assets, reports Beverley Guardian.
The winners are pupils from Frederick Gough School in Scunthorpe, Hornsea School and Language College in Hornsea, and South Hunsley School in Melton.
The award was announced at Hornsea School during their Green Britain Day.
MP for Beverley and Holderness and Chairman of the Education SelectCommittee, Graham Stuart said: “Green Britain Day is all about building awareness, understanding and excitement about a greener Britain. By linking business, schools and a green vision, SMart Futures brings all these issues alive and lets the children take centre stage.”
