The UK could borrow some of its know-how in renewables to Taiwan since both countries have limited resources as they are looking for energy security, writes Focus Taiwan.
An engineer from Industrial Technology Research Institute Hu Ssu-yuan thinks that Taiwan should develop offshore wind farms due to the fact that the Taiwan Strait holds one of the world’s best sites for this type of energy.
Taiwan plans to install more than 1,000 wind turbines both onshore and offshore by 2030, totaling in some 4,200 MW.
