Clean Energy Counsel at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Kit Kennedy, opposes the claims on Cape Wind’s environmental impact that were made by the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound (APNS).

Mr. Kennedy says in a statement on Boston Herald’s news site that the APNS’ claims that its lawsuit aims to protect the environment are “misleading at best”, considering the Cape Wind’s vast benefits.

He says that the environmental organizations, including the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Conservation Law Foundation and Mass. Audubon, in fact, support the project because of its great advantages related to the environment, wildlife and public health.
