Elia is looking for a contractor to undertake offshore certification services in various offshore fields related to grid development.
This 5 year agreement includes all given certification tasks in the Belgian Offshore Grid, compliant with Belgian and European laws and regulations. Certification can be done in the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning stages of the project.
Services involve full certification of the design basis, including: assumptions for design, design parameters, applicable codes and standards, including aids to navigation and aviation, soil conditions, wind,waves, currents, water depth, electrical design, single line diagram, structural design, security and safety.
The contractor is to certify submarine cable, cable laying processes and landfalls. Also, the contract includes certification during the building process of an offshore infrastructure (platform or an island) from work preparation to the end of construction.
Further services include reporting on legislation and advice on project steps in development of offshore grid.The contractor should review specifications of project to obtain swift certification procedures, as well as communicate and align certification with Belgian government bodies.
