DONG Energy, in a joint venture with EDF EN, is developing offshore wind farms in Northern France. These projects are in their early preparation phases where extensive feasibility studies are conducted.

The company is looking for partners, companies or individuals, who can supply highly skilled project specialists to staff up with project managers to its project organisation with competences in planning and execution within all required stages of development and construction of offshore wind farms in France.

This includes managers within the following areas: project, environment, engineering design, wind turbine generators (WTG), electricity, foundations, onshore installations and structure.

The tender material will be divided into areas according to the above-mentioned. By dividing into smaller areas / lots DONG Energy expects to get the most precise description of the requested qualifications from the suppliers and also to make the participation as relevant as possible for the suppliers.

Companies can freely apply to one or more lots. If a company applies for more than one lot, it will not influence the evaluation.

To ensure supply of these competences on a running basis, DONG Energy will establish a supplier qualification system (SQS). The SQS will be open to all sizes of companies, including single person companies, in hope of attracting the most qualified candidates.

The majority of the work is expected to be delivered in Paris, France. DONG Energy needs the competences for at least the evaluation phase running in 2012/2013. The different areas of expertise will be activated as the projects move forward. The assistance will be conducted as part of the DONG Energy project organisation.

Under development and construction phase of offshore wind farms in France, the following areas will, over time, be covered by this SQS: Project design and management; Consent and environment; Commercial evaluation; Operations; Design – including geosciences (technical, physical, UXO/EOD and GIS); Offshore Platforms; Foundations; Wind turbine generators (WTG); Electrical works; Onshore civil works; Site and Commissioning.
