Scottish homes would see significantly increased electricity bills if it becomes independent, because the country would bear the cost of renewable energy subsidies and infrastructure, which are now distributed across the United Kingdom, Energy Secretary Edward Davey said in his speech held at an energy conference organised by the Scotsman newspaper in Edinburgh.
