New rules under the IMO Performance Standard for Protective Coatings for Dedicated Seawater Ballast Tanks (DSWBT) – General Information as per to SOLAS regulations II-1/3- 2 concerning the mandatory PSPC and Cargo tanks that will be released in 2013 pave the way for a growing need for qualified and experienced paint inspectors. The company which unifies paint inspectors from more than 50 countries all around the world and is running this unique community is Paint-inspector.
The company was founded in 2006 and and during six years of its existence Paint- inspector has unified independent paint inspectors all around the globe. It took part n projects for companies such as Yara, International Paint, Sigma PPG Sigma Coatings, Hempel and Jotun Coatings, KCC, Exmar and Delphis group, Saipem 7000 of ENI, FPSO Mearsk Curlew, Mearsk Container Lines. Their latest big project is Enquest where they act as QA&QC for the shipyard Blohm&Voss. The project underlies a total refurbishment of a FPSO.
