The aim of the event has been to present the call for innovation projects of InnoEnergy KIC 2013.
The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) has hosted the conference “Animation Event for Thematic Field Renewable Energy “organized by KIC InnoEnergy, in its headquarters in Barcelona.
The aim of the conference has been to present the “Call for proposals for innovation projects from InnoEnergy KIC 2013”. Additionally it has been also discussed the “Technology Roadmap” on Renewable Energy topic and the guide for the presentation and evaluation of the proposals.
During the session, seven project proposals were submitted by companies, universities and research centers, with the intention of seeking partners to submit their proposals afterwards.
The call of proposals for the 2013 is open until March 1st.
The IREC, a shareholder and active member of the company, is overseeing the renewable energy strategy from the KIC InnoEnergy subsidiary in Barcelona. It is the project coordinator of the company’s two wind energy projects in Europe and is involved in another 13 projects alongside leading organisations belonging to the KIC.

As one of Europe’s leading energy research centres, the IREC forms part of KIC InnoEnergy and will take part in projects launched in the 2010–2016 period.
