When the three installation vessels are in simultaneous operation, approximately 300 people are working in the wind farm. Besides the people involved in the wind turbine installation, the wind turbines already installed are being commissioned and inspected, and the last interconnecting cables in the northern part of the wind farm are being flushed into the seabed.

To ensure the logistics for both personnel and equipment in the wind farm, 23-25 vessels are required.

Personnel are transported to the wind farm mainly by service vessels, but the service vessels also assist with the internal transport between the various work positions in the wind farm or to the hotel vessel which is anchored close to the working area.

As two of the installation vessels; Sea Jack and Sea Worker, have no engine power to change position, a towing tug is also involved to help manoeuvre the two installation vessels between the various turbine positions and to and from Grenaa Harbour.

So far, the marine coordination database counts more than 2,500 people, who have worked in the wind farm, and 90 different vessels.
