At the beginning of January 2013, the installation vessel Sea Jack arrived at Grenaa Harbour, and a total of three installation vessels are now in operation to exploit the few and often short-term installation windows which the season allows.
At the end of February, A2SEA’s new custom-designed installation vessel, Sea Installer, will arrive to replace Sea Jack which has other tasks to tend to.
Together with Sea Power and Sea Worker, the three installation vessels will continue the installation of wind turbines throughout March before Sea Installer leaves the area in April to take up other tasks in the Irish Sea.
The installation vessels, Sea Worker and Sea Power, will then continue the installation work which is expected to be completed in summer 2013.
At the end of January 2013, 28 wind turbines had been installed in Anholt Offshore Wind Farm; 28 are connected to the grid and 19 have produced electricity.
On 22 January 2013, four installation vessels were gathered in Grenaa Harbour; Sea Power’s sister vessel, Sea Energy, stopped by Grenaa Harbour in connection with the preparation for a maintenance task for Samsø Offshore Wind Farm, and Sea Power, Sea Worker and Sea Jack were waiting for better weather conditions.
